Perused the case diary.

It appears that the allegation is that of inflicting of acid burn injury by the present petitioner, who was the step mother-in-law of the alleged victim.

Considering the serious nature of allegations and the incriminating materials available in the case including the statements of the victim and the son of the victim recorded before a learned Magistrate and the injury report, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
