He prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is in progress.

We have considered the materials on record including statement of the niece of the deceased who implicates the petitioner in the murder. Trial is in progress.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
