The writ petitioner claims that the private respondents, in connection with the disputes for obtaining water, have intimidated and threatened the petitioner.

The petitioner has lodged a complaint with the Paikar Police Station, Birbhum in this regard. Paikar Police Station shall take out proceedings under Sections 107 and 116(C) of the Code of Criminal Procedure forthwith against the private respondents. Sufficient warning shall be given by the Paikar Police Station to the private respondents in this regard. Any civil rights that the parties may have, may be agitated before the Civil Forum.

Paikar Police Station shall, however, maintain a regular vigil over the area and ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the locale. Any

further complaint in this regard, if made, shall be attended in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
