The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-consideration of a representation dated August 5, 2022. Significantly by way of the representation, the petitioner has sought consideration of an application under Section 4C of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

On behalf of the State Authorities, it is submitted that the representation is not maintainable and a statutory appeal lies under the Act.

I find that the grievance of the petitioner is directed against an action which has been initiated under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955

In view of the statutory alternative efficacious remedy, the instant writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable.

WPA No. 20496 of 2022 stands disposed of with the above direction.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law, if so advised.
