The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject Bio Science (Pass) at Jhikra Junior High School, Minakhan, District - North 24 Parganas, she applied for general transfer through 'Utsashree Portal' on the ground that the distance between her residence and the school since is more than 51 kilometres, she is unable to look after her minor children.

The School Authority has refused to issue required 'No-Objection' to the said prayer on the ground that she is not coming within 10% of the teaching staff of the school, consequently, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission has rejected the application of the petitioner.

Mr. Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable.

Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 20508 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
