The cause title of the writ petition be amended accordingly.

The petitioners seek compensation in lieu of their land which was admittedly acquired by the Staterespondents. In the report in the form of affidavit submitted on behalf of the State-respondents it is recorded that the process for direct purchase of the land in question has been completed and the file pertaining to awarding compensation to the petitioners has been sent for approval to the concerned department and is expected to be released very soon.

In view of the above, the persons concerned, being respondent nos. 2, 3 and 8 be directed to take the procedure to its logical conclusion and pay

necessary compensation along with all statutory dues to the petitioners within two months from the date of communication of this order upon giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, if necessary. With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
