Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. 9 out of 16 witnesses have been examined so far. Witnesses have implicated the petitioner in the alleged crime. Two persons were attacked with a knife, one of whom succumbed to the injuries. Offence, if proved, shall attract mandatory life imprisonment.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage, The application for bail is disposed of.
