Heard learned Advocate for the petitioners. None appears for the respondents in spite of service of notice as submitted by the petitioners.

It appears at page 32, being Annexure-P-3 to the writ petition that the petitioners have made a representation on 16th June, 2017 making prayer before the Collector, District:

South Parganas/respondent No.3, making claim for compensation in respect of the plot in question, which according to the petitioners is still pending and has not been disposed of.

Considering the submission of the petitioners, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.3, the Collector, District: South 24 Parganas to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation dated 16th June, 2017 in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners or their authorised representative, within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order and communicate

the same to the petitioners within two weeks thereafter.

WPA 21586 of 2017 is disposed of.
