Petitioner approached this Court as no steps were taken by the police authorities, but it has been submitted by the petitioner that subsequently Cyber Crime P.S. Case No. 32 of 2024 dated 02.09.2024 was registered for investigation and in course of investigation, out of the defrauded amount of Rs.95,000/-, petitioner has already received a sum of Rs.65,000/-.

State has submitted a report prepared by Cyber Crime Police Station, Ranaghat Police District, which reflects that investigation of the said case is in progress.

Having considered the steps taken by the police authorities and efforts which are exercised by them, I am of the view that the police authorities would take the investigation of the case so registered to its logical conclusion within a

reasonable period of time. No further interference at this stage is warranted.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 20855 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
