The petitioner has raised the height of the meter room at his own cost. Consequently, the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) has raised a bill for the installation of a new meter. It has been submitted before this Court that, subject to payment of the said bill, the meter shall be installed in the same meter room.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, however, submits that the petitioner has not yet received the bill. In the event the bill is not served upon the petitioner, he shall be at liberty to collect the same from the office of the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) on or before May 12, 2026. Subject to payment of the bill, the meter shall thereafter be installed in the name

of the petitioner in the said meter room within a period of seven days.

Accordingly, CPAN 1482 of 2025 stands disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
