The writ petitioners complain that the private respondents, who have obtained an order of status quo from the Civil Judge (Junior Division), 4th Court, Sealdah in T. S. No. 04 of 2016, are threatening and intimidating them. It is further submitted that the private respondents want to evict the petitioners.

Admittedly, the petitioners have not instituted any civil proceeding against the private respondents. The report of the Titagarh Police Station indicates that the petitioners have provided self-declaration in support of their peaceful living on 10th September, 2022 when enquiries for being made by the Police.

In the event of any further incident, the petitioners may take steps in accordance with law.

The Titagarh Police shall, however, ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

The reports of the Titagarh Police Station dated 11.09.2022 and 04.04.2023 are taken on record.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
