The petitioner alleges that the private respondents herein are not allowing the petitioner to meet with his father.

Pursuant to the order passed by this Court on September 23, 2024, the father has been impleaded as a party-respondent in this writ petition. The father is appearing online. He is also represented by a learned advocate in Court today. This Court had the occasion to interact with the father through virtual mode. The father states that the petitioner herein did not make any attempt to meet him. It is

upto the father and the daughter to decide whether they would maintain a relation between themselves. The writ petition cannot pass any order compelling the father to meet his daughter.

The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the police authorities. She has lodged a complaint with the Officer-in-Charge, Monteswar Police Station by letter dated July 29, 2024.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Monteswar Police Station dated August 21, 2024, which is taken on record. It appears from the said report that pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner, the police authorities have taken steps and have submitted a prosecution under Section 126/135(3) BNSS dated August 23, 2024 against the private respondent nos. 6, 10, 11 and 13.

Since the police authorities have taken steps on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, there is no necessity to pass any further orders in this matter. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
