The petitioner is aggrieved by the act and action of the police authorities and has approached this Court particularly with regard to the information furnished regarding installation of CCTV camera in front of washroom of the petitioner which is directly invading the privacy of the petitioner. There are complaints also against the private respondents that they have tried to capture photograph which has invaded the privacy of the petitioner while she was using the washroom.

State has submitted a report which reflects that cases have been registered by Jorabagan Police Station. There are six cases. At the relevant point of time when the report was submitted, Jorabagan P.S. Case No. 56 dated 13.06.2023 was registered for investigation. In respect of other cases, chargesheets were submitted. In view of the restricted prayer of the petitioner to the effect that her privacy is being interfered with particularly by the manner in which the CCTV camera has been installed by the private

respondents, I am of the view that if the chargesheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court being the learned ACJM, Calcutta and if the learned ACJM, Calcutta finds that the police authorities after investigation has been able to arrive at a conclusion in respect of the privacy of the present petitioner having been interfered with, then in that case the same being brought to the notice of the learned court will not deter the learned court to pass necessary directions for removal of the CCTV camera.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 20319 of 2023 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
