Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent submits that a civil suit is pending between the parties and the private respondent has also lodged a complaint against the petitioner.

The learned advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Officer-in-charge, Park Street Police Station dated 27th August, 2024 which is taken on record. After going through such report, this court finds that pursuant to the complaint of the petitioner the FIR has been registered being Park Street P. S. case no. 147 of 2024 under Sections118(1)/74/304(2)/329/324(2)/54 BNS. It further appears from the said report that investigation is in progress and notices under Section 35(3) BNS were served upon the FIR accused named persons.

Since the FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner and the investigation is in progress, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned Investigating Officer to

conclude the investigation expeditiously and to take all consequential steps thereupon.

The police shall also maintain peace and tranquility at the locale.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities.
