The present revisional application has been preferred challenging the proceedings relating to Bhawanipur Police Station Case No. 439 of 2018 dated 20.10.2018 (C.G.R. Case No. 4418 of 2018) under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. In course of pendency of this proceeding, parties have preferred a joint compromise petition being CRAN 1 of 2022. Mr. Keshari, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report which encloses a communication made by the opposite party no.2 wherein she has categorically expressed that she does not intend to proceed with Bhawanipur Police Station Case No. 439 of 2018 dated 20.10.2018.

The joint compromise petition also states that at the intervention of the well-wishers and family friends, the disputes and differences have been solved.

Having regard to the changed circumstances and the report submitted by the concerned officer of Bhawanipur Police Station, I am of the opinion that further continuance of the present proceedings is unwarranted. Accordingly, all further proceedings relating to Bhawanipur Police Station Case No. 439 of 2018 dated 20.10.2018 (C.G.R. Case No. 4418 of 2018) under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and the charge-sheet submitted in connection with the instant case are hereby quashed.

Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 2705 of 2021 along with CRAN 1 of 2022 is hereby allowed. All pending connected applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

Report dated 16.06.2022 submitted by Mr. Keshari, learned advocate for the State be kept on record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
