06.11.2024 rc/ct.no.34 Item No.135 CRR No. 3523 of 2024 In the matter of : Sri Snehashis Sarkar .......Petitioner Mr. Saibal Basu ...for the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of ACGR Case No. 199 of 2020 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Alipore, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the matter. It appears that the written complaint was lodged by the private opposite party on January 14, 2020 and charge sheet was submitted on February 29, 2020. The learned Trial Court framed charge on August 20, 2022. There has been no progress in trial since then.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within one year from the next date fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR No. 3523 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
