1. The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for a direction to the respondent authorities for release of an amount of Rs.82,25,447/-.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent authorities have issued work order to the petitioner. The petitioner has executed the work order with the satisfaction of the respondent authorities. The petitioner has completed the work for a total sum of Rs.99,54,930/-. Out of which, the respondents have paid only Rs.17,29,483/- and the remaining amount of Rs.82,25,447/- is remained unpaid.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made several representations but the respondent authorities have not released the said amount.

4. Learned counsel for the State has filed the report admitting that the petitioner has executed the work for a total sum of Rs.99,54,930/-, out of which Rs.17,29,483/- has been paid to the petitioner and the balance amount of Rs.82,25,447/- is due.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the respective parties and perused the materials on record and the report submitted by the Executive Engineer, P.W.D., Bardhaman, Electrical Division.

This Court finds that there is no dispute that the work order was issued to the petitioner and the petitioner has executed the work for a total sum of for a total sum of Rs.99,54,930/-, out of which Rs.17,29,483/- has been paid to the petitioner and the balance amount of Rs.82,25,447/- is unpaid.

7. As the Executive Engineer, P.W.D., Bardhaman Electrical Division, Government of West Bengal has admitted the amount claimed by the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, the respondent no. 8, The Secretary, Finance Department, Government of West Bengal is directed to sanction the said amount within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order and on approval of the said amount, the respondent no. 11 is directed to pay the said amount within a period of two weeks thereafter.

9. Report filed by the State be kept with the record.

10. Accordingly, WPA No. 20312 of 2025 is disposed of.

11. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
