The 26 writ petitioners before the Court claim to be Immunization Workers who are due to get the benefit of an Order dated 08.12.2020 of the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal. The said Order revised the remuneration of Immunization Volunteers to Rs. 550/- per day for maximum 26 days in any given month. The petitioners wrote several letters to the concerned Authorities, the last being on 25th August, 2022.

After hearing learned counsel appearing for the State, the petitioners appear to have made out a case for consideration.

WPA 20686 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of by directing the respondent no. 7, being the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Purulia to consider the representation of the petitioners in light of the Order dated 08.12.2020 subject to any other conditions which are there in the Order. The CMOH shall consider the representation by passing a reasoned order within a period of three weeks from date and communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of one week from the date on which such reasoned order is passed.

This order is being made subject to the petitioners' putting in deficit Court Fees by 4.30 p.m. tomorrow, i.e. 28.02.2023.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order if applied for be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
