Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated and has been in custody for about 10 months. He has no nexus with the alleged offence. He prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The government of West Bengal has introduced a scheme in the name of "Taruner Swapna" whereby eligible students from government institutions are entitled to Rs.10,000/- for purchase of electronic gadgets for use for education purpose. The students are asked to furnish their bank details before the Headmaster of the schools and such details are uploaded in the portal "Banglar Shiksha Portal" in order to enable deposit of funds in the said accounts.

On the basis of complaint made by some of the students on non receipt of such amount, the matter was investigated upon and it was found that the bank details of the students were changed and the money diverted to other accounts. The petitioner has been implicated in the alleged offence. Charges have been framed.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
