Mr. Ambu Bindu Chakraborty Ms. Mrinmoyee Roychowdhury ... for the petitioner This application under Article of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the applicant in a proceeding for grant of succession certificate being Succession Case No. 149 of 2022 praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge, 1st Court being the District Delegate at Barasat to dispose of the said proceeding expeditiously.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the proceeding is pending from the year 2022.

From the ordersheets appended to this application this Court finds that the petitioner was directed to file a show cause petition.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the show cause petition has already been filed.

It appears from the record that 31st October, 2025 has been fixed for acceptance of the show cause petition.

In view thereof, C.O. 3208 of 2025 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge, 1st Court (District Delegate) at Barasat to dispose of the Succession Case No. 149 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible but preferably within a period of six months from the next date fixed.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
