1. Petitioner is in custody for 170 days. Co-accused are on bail. He prays for bail.

2. Learned advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C. show, petitioner was driving the vehicle which was used to abduct the victim. Subsequently, body of the victim was recovered on the showing of the petitioner and co-accused. Co-accused who are enlarged on bail are either juvenile or stand on a different footing from that of the petitioner.

4. In light of the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
