Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instruction, submits that the petitioner is agreeable to pay the outstanding dues of Rs.44,268/- claimed by the Distribution Licensee for giving the new electricity connection to the petitioner, which dues were recoverable from Kanchan Devi Sharma, the mother of the petitioner, and one Rajkamal Verma, who have been enjoying electricity from the same premises. In such view of the matter, there cannot be any other hindrance in giving electricity connection to the petitioner, subject to compliance of all formalities by the petitioner. Accordingly, WPA No. 20717 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to give

electricity connection to the petitioner subject to compliance of all formalities, including the payment of all requisite charges and the outstanding dues of Rs.44,268/- to the CESC Limited, preferably within a fortnight from the compliance of such formalities by the petitioner. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
