The writ petitioner seeks intervention of a writ court under Article 226, to compel the Port Trust authorities, to take a private-commercial decision in respect of certain goods which the petitioner claims to have been saddled with.

This Court is of the view that the terms and conditions on which the Port Trust would accede to the request of the petitioner, is essentially a private and commercial decision exclusively in their discretion. The matter does not call for any intervention of a writ court under Article 226.

The writ petition is thus disposed of without any orders.

There shall be no order as to costs.
