Petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of the proceeding under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits proceeding is pending for the last five years. No interim relief has been granted. It is the mandate of law that proceedings under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act are disposed of expeditiously i.e. within sixty days. 3.

In such view of the matter we request the learned Magistrate to take immediate steps to consider the prayer for interim relief and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible not later than sixty days from the date of communication of this order after giving due notice to the opposite party.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of.
