Learned advocate for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the de facto complainant in this case and is the wife of the respondent No.6 and other private respondents are her in-laws. She lodged an FIR as far as back in 2022, but the same is not being investigated property. Even the petitioner's husband has been kept confined by the other in-laws in the matrimonial home.
Learned advocate for the private respondents denies the allegations made in the writ petition. Charge-sheet has already been submitted by Suri Police Station.
Learned advocate for the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Charge-sheet has already been submitted. So, there is no question of police inaction. It is pertinent to mention that initially an FIR was lodged at Diamond Harbour Women Police Station and thereafter, it was transferred to Suri Police Station.
It is surprising that the petitioner is now so concerned that her husband is confined somewhere by his own relatives because she had earlier made serious allegations in the FIR even against the husband. It was alleged by her that there was an attempt to traffic her for some ulterior motive and the husband was engaged in running flesh trade.
Be that as it may, the investigation is already over. If the petitioner is aggrieved with the quality of investigation, she shall be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law by filing a protest petition. No further order need be passed in this regard. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs.
Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
