Petitioner has filed this writ petition making prayer for relief by way of a direction upon the electricity authority concerned to hold an inquiry on his allegation of alleged inflated bill. Petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievance petitioner has made a representation on 24th July, 2023 which has not been considered by the respondent electricity authority concerned.

Learned advocate representing the respondent electricity authority concerned submits instruction from which it appears that the allegation of the petitioner of not taking any action on the basis of aforesaid representation is not correct. It appears from the aforesaid representation that the

respondent authority concerned has already held an enquiry and checked the meter in question and it has also been stated in the said report that if petitioner is further aggrieved he may approach the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Purba Burdwan Region as per Memo No. BDN/CCC-I/333 dated 31.07.2023. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and submission of the parties this writ petition being WPA 20411 of 2023 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the RGRO within two weeks from date by way of making appropriate application and if such application is made by the petitioner within the time stipulated herein the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorised representative within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
