The petitioner, being the unmarried daughter of a deceased school teacher prays for grant of family pension.

The father of the petitioner was a teacher who retired from service on 31st January, 1994 and received pension thereafter. He died on 2nd February, 2012. The mother of the petitioner received family pension. She expired on 5th July, 2021. The petitioner claims to be the unmarried daughter and seeks family pension.

The prayer of the petitioner is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Purba Medinipur.

Without entering into the merit of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the

District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Purba Medinipur to consider the same in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken. 7.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
