Leave as prayed for is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioner to carry out necessary correction in the causetitle to describe the respondent no. 3 appropriately. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner be kept with the record.

The petitioner is serving as Bottomner of Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology at Salt Lake. The petitioner is alleging that in terms of the Notification of the Finance (Audit) Department, Government of West Bengal bearing No. 672-F(P2)/FA/O/2M/21/17(N.B.) dated January 24, 2019, the age of retirement of the petitioner should have been enhanced to 65 years from 62 years.

The petitioner by a representation dated February 22, 2019 addressed to the Officer-in-Charge of the Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology has prayed for consideration of his such prayer. The Officer-in-Charge of the college is not the appropriate authority to consider the said prayer of the petitioner.

Therefore, leave is granted to the petitioner to give a comprehensive representation to the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal, Higher Education Directorate, the respondent no. 2 herein with regard to the said issue within a period of seven days from date.

If such a representation is filed within the said time, the respondent no. 2 shall consider the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

W.P.A. 20565 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
