The petitioner approached the Officer-incharge, Jamuria Police Station with allegations against one Mohammad Rustam Ali Noori, Sripur Bazar, alleging that the said person was impersonating himself as a Muslim Marriage Registrar and extracting money. It is submitted by Mr. Bhattcharyya, learned senior advocate, that the police authorities have not taken any steps in the matter.

A complaint filed by the petitioner on October 7, 2021 has been annexed to the writ petition. The Officer-in-charge, Jamuria Police Station shall dispose of the said complaint in accordance with law

and take such steps that he may deem fit and proper.

Such disposal shall be made within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

The merit of the allegations made in the complaint has not been gone into by this court. The police authorities will decide the issue independently. The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
