Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner seeks exoneration of duty from the work of the Booth Level Officer.

It appears that the duty of Booth Level Officer is being allotted in terms of the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 read with the Election Commission's letter vide No. 23/BLO/2006-PSII dated 9th August, 2006 and letter no. 23/BLO/2006PLN-II dated 28th November, 2006, CEO's letter no. 160(10)/JSSG/WBE/2008 dated 01.07.2008 and recent order vide no.
23/BLO/2025-ERS dated 05.06.2025.

The duty is being allotted by the Electoral Registration Officer of the subject assembly constituency.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition, it does not appear that the petitioner made any representation before the Electoral Registration Officer.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that it will be open for the petitioner to make appropriate representation before the Electoral Registration Officer of the subject constituency along with all supporting documents in support of his prayer.

In the event any such representation is made, the same shall be considered by the said authority in accordance with law at the earliest. 8.
It is made clear that this Court has not entered into the merits of the prayer of the petitioner and all points are left open to be decided by the aforesaid respondent at the time of consideration of the representation to be filed by the petitioner. 9.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
