The petitioner participated in the 1st SLST for recruitment of Assistant Teachers, 2016 in Upper Primary Level of Schools. The petitioner is a Para Teacher and participated in the said selection process as such.

The West Bengal Central School Service Commission vide notice dated August 11, 2023 have invited the candidates who applied for the 10% seats reserved for para-teachers to upload important documents in the relevant portal.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the said portal is not allowing her to upload her document on the ground that there is no match of her Roll number. The petitioner participated in the grievance hearing conducted by the Commission for redressal of the grievances of the candidates of the said selection test who were not called in the personality test, in the said hearing it was found that though she had completed her B.Ed. in 2013 but did not upload the said Degree in her online application for the said selection test.

The petitioner had the B.Ed. Degree in 2013 and in her online application had mentioned it but failed to mention her marks obtained in the teacher training, that being the position the prayer of the petitioner to allow her to upload the relevant documents in the said portal can be considered.

The Chairman of the Commission is requested to consider the said prayer of the petitioner and to pass necessary order/direction.

The petitioner for the said purpose shall meet the Chairman of the Commission in his office tomorrow (25.08.2023) at 2-00 P.M. with all relevant documents in original.

W.P.A. 20440 of 2023 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
