The petitioner has sought intervention of the Egra Police Station, Purba Medinipur to demolish the unauthorized construction effected by the private respondents.

The remedy of the petitioner, if any, is against the local panchayat since it is the panchayat that is authorized to decide whether the building is unauthorized or otherwise.

The Egra Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area. 4.

The petitioner may approach the concerned panchayat in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

7.

The report of the Egra Police Station dated 09.04.2023 be kept with the record.
