The petitioner is a cancer patient.

As a precondition for anticipatory bail granted by this Court in CRM(A) 3263 of 2022 on July 11, 2022, the petitioner is required to appear before the I.O. once a fortnight. He submits that he has been repeatedly summoned by the I.O. despite being extremely unwell.

Mr. Santanu Kumar Mitra, learned counsel appearing for the Mandir Bazar Police Station submits that they have obtained a certified copy of the alleged forged report but are looking for the original which according to the I.O. is in the custody of the petitioner. 3.

The petitioner denies the same.

This Court directs the Mandir Bazar Police Station to complete the investigation and submit a final report before the Jurisdictional Magistrate, within a period of one month from date whether the petitioner co-operates with the investigation or not. The I.O. may draw conclusions in accordance with law as per his wisdom.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the Mandir Bazar Police Station, Sundarban Police District dated 13.09.2023 be kept with the record.
