Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner can justifiably claim parity with that of the coaccused who were granted anticipatory bail. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the incident occurred at the direction of the petitioner. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the materials in the case diary, we are of the view that the petitioner cannot claim parity with the other co-accused who were granted anticipatory bail. Consequently, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. 9046 of 2021 is dismissed.
