The writ petitioner/mother complains that her son and daughter-in-law being the private respondent nos. 4 and 5 have not been taking care of her. The petitioner was compelled to stay in a small room on the roof beside a storeroom where the private respondents keep goats.

Counsel for the private respondents denies the allegations.

It appears from the submissions of the parties that the privy of the house is in the ground floor. A single room is available on the ground floor and the petitioner shall be accommodated there. The private respondents shall ensure that the mother is living there comfortably and they will take care of her food, clothing and medical expenses.

The private respondents-son and daughter-in-law shall vacate the ground floor and live in the 1st floor or the roof.

The daughter of the petitioner is admittedly married and stays separately. She may come to visit her mother/petitioner from time to time.

The Inspector-in-Charge, Bankura Police Station shall ensure strict compliance of the aforesaid order in letter and sprit. In the event of any complaint from the petitioner/mother against the private respondents and/or violation of the aforesaid order, immediate and coercive steps shall be taken by the Bankura Police Station against the private respondents. The petitioner/mother herself shall also behave well.

With the aforesaid order, the writ petition is disposed of.

Instructions of the I.C., Bankura Police Station dated 12.09.2022 is taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.
