Petitioners in all the three writ petitions are aggrieved by the manner of progress of investigation and as such, have approached this Court. The aforesaid three writ petitions deal with Jadavpur P.S. Case No. 197 of 2024 dated 25.10.2024, Netaji Nagar P.S. Case No. 02 of 2025 dated 07.01.2025 and Jadavpur P.S. Case No. 18 of 2025 dated 01.02.2025.

Having considered that different police stations are dealing with the complaint and the accusations are against 'The Calcutta Fitness Studio Plus' and 'The Calcutta Fitness Studio Workout' and their franchisees are concerned, I am of the view that all cases within the jurisdiction of Kolkata be referred to the Anti-Cheating and Fraud Cell, Detective Department, Lalbazar. So far as cases, if any case at all, have been registered outside the jurisdiction of Kolkata, the same be sent to the Anti-Cheating and Fraud Cell, CID, Bhabani Bhaban, West Bengal.

The concerned departments of the Detective Department, Lalbazar and/or the CID, Bhabani Bhaban, West Bengal would assess regarding the grievance of the petitioners so far as the mode and manner of investigation is concerned, as well as the applicability of additional provisions of law. Leave is granted to the petitioner to amend the prayer in WPA 20599 of 2025.

Affidavits-of-service filed in Court today be kept with the record.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petitions being WPA 20575 of 2025, WPA 20593 of 2025 and WPA 20599 of 2025 are disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
