From the report it appears that Deputy Director to the Government of West Bengal, School Education Department vide memo dated 11th April, 2025 has communicated to the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission that previous Memos No. 489-SE/SED-12099/8/2023-GA-SEC-DSE dated 31st March, 2023, 490-SE/SED-12099/8/2023-GA-SECDSE dated 31st March, 2023 and 1189-SE/SED11099/149/2023 dated 14th August, 2023 of the

School Education Department (Secondary Branch) were cancelled and transfer of teachers in terms of those orders was withdrawn.

In the present writ petition it transpires that on behalf of West Bengal Central School Service Commission recommendation memo was issued on 18th April, 2023 in terms of memo of Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal being no. 489SE/SED-12099/8/2023-GA-SEC-DSE dated 31st March, 2023. Since aforesaid memo dated 31st March, and another memo dated 1189-SE/SED11099/149/2023 dated 14th August, 2023 have been cancelled and it has been decided by the concerned authority of School Education Department (Secondary Branch) that transfer orders based on these memoranda have been withdrawn; present writ petition is disposed of upon setting aside the recommendation memo dated 18th April, 2023 issued on behalf of West Bengal Central School Service Commission thereby transferring the petitioner from Barisha Charankabi Shiksha Niketan, Thakurpukur, Kolkata to another school in South 24 Parganas.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
