Ms. Karunamoyee Samanta Mr. Dipjyoti Chakraborty Mr. Rajdeep Ahikari .....For the Petitioners Mr. Suman Ghosh Ms. Munmun Teweary .....For the State The petitioners allege that no steps have been taken by the police authorities pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioners before the Officer-in-charge of the Namkhana Police Station.

The learned advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Namkhana Police Station dated 29th August, 2024.

It appears from the said report that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioners, Namkhana P. S. Case no. 108 of 2024 dated August 14, 2024 has been registered against the respondent nos. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The report further states that pursuant to another complaint received by the police authorities, Namkhana P. S. case no. 109 dated August 14, 2024 has been registered against the aforesaid private respondents. The report states that investigation in connection with the aforesaid FIRs are in progress.

In view thereof, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the concerned Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation expeditiously. In the event, the petitioners are not satisfied with the progress of the investigation, they will be at liberty to approach the

concerned Magistrate for appropriate reliefs in accordance with law.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities.
