Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that although the case was initiated in the year 2011, but after supplementary charge-sheet was submitted, charge was framed on or about 15.01.2019 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Alipore. The prosecution in order to prove its case relied upon six witnesses, but till date none of the witnesses has been examined. Learned advocate submits that the next date has been fixed on 30.08.2023 before the learned trial court.

Having regard to the manner in which the proceedings are progressing, I direct the learned trial court that in case the proceedings do not progress or there is a design to delay the trial of the case, the learned trial court would adhere to fixing up of dates once in a month till the six witnesses are examined by the prosecution.

All efforts be taken so that examination of the prosecution witnesses is completed by 30.06.2024 and the decision of the case be pronounced by 30.11.2024. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 3170 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
