Such apology is accepted.

Pursuant to the earlier order dated April 23, 2025, Mr. Supravat Banerjee, ASI, Basanti Police Station and Ms. Sumana Sardar, Lady Constable, Basanti Police Station have appeared before this Court along with the alleged contemnor Smt. Bulu Biswas. The alleged contemnor is represented by her learned advocate.

The learned advocate for the alleged contemnor submits that the directions contained in the order dated July 19, 2019 as corrected by order dated March 13, 2020, could not be complied with within the specified time-limit as the alleged contemnor has joined after passing of the order in the writ petition. He further submits that the directions contained in the aforesaid order shall be complied with within the time-limit as may be fixed by this Court and the petitioner may be directed to supply a copy of the writ petition to the alleged contemnor.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the alleged contemnor, the learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the writ petition upon the learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor in course of this day.

On the prayer of the alleged contemnor, the time to comply with the aforesaid order is extended till May 8, 2025.

List this matter on May 14, 2025. On that date the alleged contemnor shall file the affidavit of compliance.
