Ms. Saba Parween ...for the petitioner Mr. Debjit Mukherjee Ms. Susmita Chatterjee ...for Kolkata Municipal Corporation The petitioner alleges that an unauthorized construction took place at the behest of respondent nos.6 to 9 at premises No.27B, Bagmari Road, Ward32 in Borough-III of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Respondent nos.6 to 9 are not represented despite notice. Let the notices served upon them by the petitioner be kept with the records.

On behalf of Corporation it has been submitted that a 'stop work' notice was issued on 31st July, 2023 regarding the unauthorised construction. The Corporation has also initiated a proceeding under Section 400 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980.

In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to complete the proceeding initiated under Section 400 of Kolkata Municipal

Corporation Act, 1980 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, WPA 20489 of 2023 is disposed of.
