Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that a post made on the petitioner's X handle (formerly known as Twitter) on 18.08.2024 has already been deleted.

The report states that: "With due respect and humble submission, beg to submit that the above mentioned writ petition has been filed by Mr. Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, S/o Late Shibendu Sekhar Roy, being a resident of 1/111/1, Gariahat Road (South), Jodhpur Park, Kolkata - 700068 seeking speedy redressal of his complaint.

Subject to the writ petition, deleting the tweet made by Mr. Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, S/o Late Shibendu Sekhar Roy, Dt. 18-08- 2024 no further steps will be

taken against him in respect of the specific case vide, Cyber PS/Kolkata, Case No. 85/24, Dated 17.08.2024, U/S- 66 r/w sec- 43 of Information Technology Act, 2000 and u/s 61(2)/72/352/353 (1)/356 (2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023."

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

As the post on the petitioner's X handle (formerly known as Twitter) dated 18.08.2024 has already been deleted, the Officer-in-Charge, Cyber P.S., Kolkata being the respondent no.4 is directed not to take any steps in relation to the petitioner in respect of specific case being Cyber PS/Kolkata, Case No. 85/24, Dated 17.08.2024, U/S- 66 r/w sec- 43 of The Information Technology Act, 2000 and u/s 61(2)/72/352/353 (1)/356 (2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

With the above directions the writ petition being WPA 21126 of 2024 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
