Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the physically challenged son of the deceased pensioner. He had made a representation dated 21.12.2022 praying for benefits of family pension for life. But, the same has not been considered yet by the respondent no.2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that in the event such representation is pending consideration, the same shall be considered by the concerned respondent.

In view of the above, let the respondent no.2 consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.12.2022 for being granted benefits of family pension in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
