The subject matter of the instant contempt petition is violation of an order dated 28th April, 2006 passed in WP 8381(W) of 2006. The respondents in the writ petition had preferred an appeal challenging the said order. The appeal was numbered as MAT 2820 of 2007. The Department, through the Assistant Registrar VIII, has placed an office note in terms of the order dated 2nd July, 2021. It appears from the said note that the appeal, being MAT 2820 of 2007 has been dismissed for default on 4th February, 2011.

In view of the dismissal of the appeal, there is no embargo in taking up the contempt petition. The matter is appearing in the list today marked as "Last Chance" with a note in the list that appropriate orders will be passed if no one appears in the matter. No one appears either on behalf of the petitioner or the alleged contemnors/respondents. It appears that the parties are not interested to proceed further with the contempt petition. The same

is disposed of without any further order.

Rule stands discharged accordingly.
