Mr. Sabyasachi Roy ...for the petitioner Mr. Pallav Chatterjee Mr. Tanweer Jamil Mandal ...for the DPSC, Purba Burdwan Due to one criminal case, the petitioner was suspended from the school and thereafter he was exonerated from the clutches of law and joined the school. He has already got arrear salary due to him. Now, his prayer is for interest.

I am not inclined to give interest in the matter of a person who was accused of such serious crime and for which his salary had been stopped. He has filed this application with the prayer that interest on the due amount of salary which he has received in the meantime is to be paid. The petitioner has got back his service, is getting monthly salary and the icing on this cake in the form of interest is not required to be given to him.

For this reason this writ application is not accepted and it is dismissed.
