Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 4 months and there has been hardly any progress in the case as only four witnesses, out of the proposed 27 witnesses, have been examined by the prosecution.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are two eyewitnesses in this case whom the prosecution intends to rely upon in support of its case.

In view of the submissions made by the State, I direct the learned Trial Court to ensure that two eyewitnesses, proposed to be examined by the prosecution, be concluded by 31.03.2026.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1545 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
