The dispute between the parents-in-law and daughter-in-law or the parents and the son, cannot be the matter of contempt.

The court directed that the applicants be accompanied to the house by a officer of Tarakeswar Police Station. The respondent nos.4 and 5 in the writ petition, who are the alleged contemnors herein were directed not to create any disturbance. Accordingly, the police authorities ensured the entry of the applicants to the house.

The submission of the respondent nos.4 and 5/alleged contemnors that they had never disturbed the applicants and would always look after them in every possible manner had been recorded. The Court was of the view that the dispute should be resolved and the parties should remain in the hosue, peacefully.

The police authorities have already taken steps as per the direction of the Court. Subsequent incidents as

submitted by the learned advocate for the applicants, cannot give rise to a contempt application.

Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of . The contempt proceedings are dropped.

The right of the parents to be maintained by their son and other reliefs available to them, cannot be decided in a contempt application and there are other legal provisions. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
