1. The petitioner is aggrieved by the act of WBSEDCL in not taking any steps to process the application filed by him seeking new electric connection for running submersible pump.

2. Learned advocate representing WBSEDCL submits, upon instructions, that the petitioner's application was proceeded with and that an inspection was conducted, but the prayer of the petitioner cannot be allowed, because the same is not techno-economically feasible.

3. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the adjoining land of the petitioner is enjoying electricity connection for running submersible pump and, accordingly, the prayer of the petitioner ought not to be disallowed.

4. Upon hearing the respective submissions, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the licensee to conduct a fresh spot inspection, upon prior notice to the petitioner, to ascertain the

feasibility.

5. The inspection shall be conducted at the earliest but positively a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The application of the petitioner seeking new electricity connection shall be finally disposed of within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. The spot inspection report and the final order on consideration of the petitioner's application shall be communicated to the petitioner soon thereafter.

8. The instruction forwarded by the Assistant Engineer & Station Manager, Paiker CCC dated August 23, 2024 be retained with the records.

9. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

10. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
