Mr. Suman Sengupta Mr. Amrita Panja Moulick ...for the State.
1.
The affidavit-of-service filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner be taken on record.
2. Learned counsel for the State submits that on receipt of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of Arms License to the petitioner, a police verification was conducted and on receipt of the report from the concerned police authority, personal hearing has also been given to the petitioner and after hearing the petitioner-in-person, the District Magistrate, Nadia found that the Additional Superintendent of Police, Ranaghat P.S., Nadia has submitted a report not recommending the case of the petitioner. On enquiry, the District Magistrate also found that there is no threat of life to the petitioner in India and as such the District Magistrate has rejected the request of the petitioner for grant of Arms License to the petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the State/respondents has supplied the copy of the order to the learned counsel for
the petitioner and to this Court. Let the same be kept with the record.

5. Considering the above, this Court finds that when the petitioner has filed the present writ application no order was passed by the authorities. After filing of the writ petition, the authorities have passed the impugned order.
6. Now this Court finds that nothing remains in the present writ application. Accordingly, the writ application is dismissed as infructuous. However, the dismissal of the writ application will not prevent the petitioner for taking appropriate steps.
