Mr. Satyendra Agarwal, Mr. Tarak Nath Sarkar, Mr. Ravi Ranjan Kumar ...for the Petitioner Mr. Aayush Sharma ...for CESC A final order of assessment has been passed 04-09-2025 AKG Ct. 15 against the petitioner in connection with the allegation of theft of electricity, directing the deposit of Rs. 2,18,774/-. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is willing to pay 50% of the assessed amount immediately, with the balance 50% to be paid in ten equal installments.

Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) has no objection to this proposal.

Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to pay a sum of Rs. 1,09,387/- along with the reconnection charges to CESC within 72 hours from the date of this order. Upon receipt of the payment, CESC shall restore the electricity connection forthwith.

The remaining 50% shall be paid by the petitioner in ten equal monthly installments, the first of which shall be paid within the first week of November 2025. Subsequent installments shall be paid within the first week of each succeeding month.

The petitioner shall also continue to pay current electricity bills as raised by CESC.

It is made clear that in the event of any default by the petitioner in complying with the terms of this order, CESC shall be at liberty to disconnect the petitioner's electricity connection.

With these directions, WPA 20586 of 2025 is disposed of.
